Environment and Conservation Fund

From its establishment in June 1994 to 2012, the Environment and Conservation Fund (“ECF”) received six government injections totalling $1.735 billion. In June 2013, the Government injected an additional $5 billion into the Environment and Conservation Fund as seed money to provide long-term and sustained support for community green actions. The Environment and Conservation Fund placed this seed money with the Hong Kong Monetary Authority to earn an investment return linked to the performance of the Hong Kong Exchange Fund.

Environment and Conservation Fund  Carbonopoly (Carbon-Monopoly)

To educate students and their parents about "Carbon Neutrality", and to develop a feasible, fashionable, fun and artistic image for low-carbon life through workshops, guided tours and orienteering.

Carbon neutrality, a very academic name, makes people feel elusive. This project hopes to use the creation of the board game "Carbon Neutrality" to conduct a series of board game lectures and trial activities, so that primary, secondary, and kindergarten students and parents can understand the concept and practical methods of carbon neutrality from the game; The board game "Carbonopoly" will be given to the participants, in order to spread the message of carbon neutrality through the game channel, and achieve the effect of "one spread to ten, ten to hundreds".

At the same time, a series of experiential workshops are also promoted and planned in the board game card, encouraging players to make unique and symbolic sculptures by themselves in the form of flower art, craftsman, painting, etc. Handmade, visualized environmental reminder messages; at the same time, through contact with wood (carbon preservation) and natural objects, connecting with nature, you can feel the inseparable relationship between man and nature, and feel more moved and motivated To practice low-carbon life.

This plan also draws on the newly emerging sports "Finnish Wooden Pillar" and "City/Park Orientation" activities in recent years to attract sports-loving families to pay attention to and recognize the environmental protection "carbon neutral" proposal
It also allows them to understand that low carbon is within reach during exercise. As long as they adjust their attitude towards life, they can play healthy and environmentally friendly.

From board games suitable for all ages, to interesting handicrafts, to the battle of wits and the race against time, "Carbonopoly" is to make environmental protection a fun game process. By playing, the environmental message of "carbon neutrality" is spread unknowingly.
