Community Investment and Inclusion Fund
Community Investment and Inclusion Fund (CIIF) was set up by the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in 2002 to implement diversified social capital development projects in the community, promote reciprocity between the public and different sectors, and build together cross-sectoral collaborative platforms and social support networks. The Fund seeks to build social capital – to garner mutual trust, the spirit of cooperation and social cohesion, and enhance mutual support among individuals, families and organisations so that our community can grow from strength to strength.

Build a Caring Society!
Project Name : Build with Fathers: A Sustainable Fatherhood Mutual Development Network (0003-32)
Organisation & Service Unit: DADs Network Limited
Target District: Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai
Target Group: Fathers and their families in the districts
Project Period: 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2024 (three years)
This project, adopting the “Community-Welfare-School” cross-sectoral collaborative model, is an extension of the first phase of “Shall DADs Talk” (0026-29). It aims to deepen the support network among fathers in Tin Shui Wai and expand the network from Tin Shui Wai to Tuen Mun and Yuen Long. By organising activities to establish gathering points, the project will develop a mutual support network among fathers in the three districts.
It also encourages and trains the fathers to be volunteers of “DADs Community”, so as to enhance their participation in the community, support families in need in the districts, and establish mutual trust and benefits among them. Programmes include:
1. “DADs Cafe”: through “Date with DADs” (activities in schools) and street stations, encourage fathers to visit the café, so as to establish gathering points and develop a mutual support network among them.
2. “DADs Community”: after training, fathers are encouraged to be volunteers of “DADs Community”. They will be paired up with families in need in the districts, and then pay regular visits or provide minor household repair services to them. Through these activities, the participation of fathers in the community will be enhanced.
3. “Cross-sectoral Committee on Fathers in Tuen Mun, Yuen Long and Tin Shui Wai”: to build a “Community-Welfare-School” collaborative platform through regular meetings and discussions. By leveraging their strengths, stakeholders will establish a referral mechanism in the districts and respond to the needs of fathers and their families.
